Prysmian City Run 2019

Sunday 9 June 2019 was a day full of good cheer and movement at the 5th edition of City Run Prysmian.

An event already familiar to our employees and the residents of Slatina, the annual cross-country race organized by Prysmian Cabluri si Sisteme S.A. was in its 5th edition. This year, in partnership with the Slatina City Hall, we created a much more challenging route for runners, an urban race through the streets of the city. The organization of the event involved special landscaping work and the preparation of all the details in advance.

The almost 200 adults and 100 children registered in the race confirmed once again that our event is gaining more and more followers. Year by year the number of runners and participants has increased. For this edition, the registration and receipt of competition numbers took place at 9 am and the start of the race for adults was at 10 am. The 5 km route was a test of endurance for all those present who had to cover areas in a straight line, wide curves and a slope towards the end of the course running towards the Finish line through the Esplanada park. The children's race started 15 minutes after the adults' race and followed a shorter route.

For safety reasons and for the smooth running of the cross-country, road traffic was stopped for the entire duration of the race and there were two hydration points on the route.

The event ended with the award ceremony of the winners and the photo session.
